AI and Human Judgement
Judgement cannot be downloaded
AI is making answers abundant. The scarce thing now is knowing which answer matters, and that is still learned from people.

Ask a model almost any question about strategy, negotiation or leading a team, and you will get a fluent, well-organised answer in seconds. A decade ago that answer would have taken a library, a consultant or a well-connected friend. Today it costs nothing.
That changes what is valuable. When information becomes abundant, the advantage moves to the part that stays scarce: judgement. Knowing which of ten reasonable options fits this team, this market, this moment. Knowing when the data is right and the decision is still wrong.
Answers at scale, judgement in the room
AI is extraordinary at telling you what is likely. A mentor can tell you what matters. The difference is lived experience: someone who has carried the weight of a decision, been wrong in public, and had to rebuild trust afterwards sees things a summary cannot show.
AI can tell you what is likely. A mentor can tell you what matters.
That kind of judgement does not transfer through a document. It is passed on in conversation, over time, between people who trust each other enough to be honest.
Why we build small circles
This is why Amano So is organised around Mentor Huts: small, curated circles of 8 to 10 senior and emerging leaders who meet regularly. Small enough that everyone speaks. Diverse enough, across sectors, generations and continents, that every member hears a perspective they would not have found on their own.
The technology we build supports that relationship rather than replacing it. Matching, check-ins and a shared growth record make progress visible, so mentoring stops being a vague good intention and becomes something you can measure.
The opportunity
The world's hardest problems will outlast any one generation of leaders. The answer is not to choose between people and machines. Use AI for speed, and invest in the human relationships that build the judgement to know where to go.
Intelligence is becoming a utility. Wisdom is becoming the advantage.
